Best Practices for Going Live

There are endless possibilities for how to go live on NTWRK. There is no one size fits all for going live. That being said, here are some best practices for how to go live and showcase your brand.

Right Before Going Live

  • Promote your live on social media channels to increase numbers.
  • Play some music to create a good atmosphere
  • Think about your lighting and backdrop. What is going to be in the frame?
  • Use an iPhone tripod to stabilize the camera throughout your show
  • Look at the camera. Make eye contact with your audience from time to time.
  • Have a goal in mind! What do you want to happen during your livestream?
  • When you're ready, tap "go live" and have fun!

Think about splitting your live episode into three segments:

Each episode should be between 15-30 minutes long.

  • 1st 10 minutes:
    • Introduce your brand, talk about your business and how it all started.
    • What is your brand identity?
    • Interact with chat and welcome users in
  • 2nd 10 minutes:
    • Talk about your notable products, special features, etc.
    • Share some stories about your brand
    • What inspires you?
  • 3rd 10 minutes:
    • Check back in with chat. You can ask them where they are from, spam a series of emojis. Play around with it and creative!

Tips

  • Be sure you’re on the most recent version of the NTWRK app
  • If you're using earphones, microphones, or wireless headphones, make sure they are connected and working properly
  • If you are not using Bluetooth audio equipment, turn off Bluetooth on your device
  • Avoid crowded spaces with loud noises
  • Make sure you have a strong internet connection
  • Put your device on “Do Not Disturb” so your show isn't interrupted with calls
  • Engage with your audience!
  • It's possible that some users will join in the middle of your show. Be sure to reiterate your topic throughout the show for any late comers.
  • Plan ahead. It may be useful to prepare a script and practice it ahead of time.
