A clean tile image is critical for generating an audience for your NTWRK show. In this article, we'll go over what makes a great tile image, and what common mistakes to avoid.
✅ Show Tile
The show tile is like a billboard for your show and your brand. Use this space to advertise your show and the products that will be sold. For optimal image quality, we suggest using the dimensions of 1080 x 1920 pixels.
A tile image:
- Displays the seller and/or product featured in the show
- Showcases the product in a lifestyle environment
- Use models to showcase the products
- Showcases products clearly within the safe zone
Examples of effective tile images
The safe zone is a space within the tile image that is not covered by any UI buttons or the show title. The safe zone is roughly the middle 60% of the tile image.
❌ Show Tiles
Inappropriate tile images are most often due to:
-
The tile image should primarily or entirely feature imagery. Refrain from using any text in your tile image.
-
The tile image is not for plain product image on a white background. The tile image is meant to capture the essence of your show and your brand, so it should be more dynamic than a traditional, static e-commerce photo.
-
Generally speaking, tile images should visually display at least one of the products that will be sold in the corresponding show. Shows with tile images featuring products are more likely to get viewers and shoppers during the livestream.
-
The tile image cannot have a border or shadow of any kind surrounding it. Your image will be automatically sized to fit the user interface flawlessly.
-
See above note regarding safe zone. As long as the image is not overly busy in the bottom half, the image should not conflict with the overlaid user interface.
❌ Example #1
Why:
- Display of prices
- Use of brand logos
- Use of NTWRK logo
- Overuse of text
❌ Example #2
Why:
- Horizontal image / Wrong aspect ratio
❌ Example #3
Why:
- Use of an e-commerce image (product on a white background)
- Wrinkled product
